Chief Revenue Officer at Dallas Express
Dallas, TX, USA
The Dallas Express, a young and forward-thinking newspaper, has rapidly built a substantial subscriber base, surpassing expectations only a few years after launch. Our focus lies in delivering hard news enriched with original interviews, and meticulously covering Crime, Education, and City Hall issues. Our approach is simple yet impactful: to provide objective, fact-based news.
At The Dallas Express, we consciously steer clear of the institutional constraints and ideological biases that often color major publications. Our language is straightforward, avoiding the trappings of over-politicized jargon and the unreliability of anonymous sources. We are dedicated to telling the stories that matter, the stories that others might shy away from.
This commitment to clear, honest journalism is the cornerstone of our operations as we continuously cultivate a cohesive and efficient newsroom environment, supported by a dedicated team of around 30 professionals. In 2023, we launched a Mobile App, a multi-segment news magazine show, and grew our newsletter subscriptions by 50%.
To further accelerate our growth, we are on the lookout for a Chief Revenue Officer to build out our revenue department. The right candidate will appreciate the entrepreneurial challenge of developing a new department and achieving early targeted milestones with support from the CEO, Director of Operations, and a team eager to support you.
You’ll have wide latitude to develop our Revenue Strategy, identify which of our products can be effectively monetized, and staff up your team as necessary to implement that strategy. Our Business team will provide you with relevant data, and you can make informed decisions based on our site traffic, time-on-site, and other subscriber behavior.
