Position: Controller Location: Phoenix, Arizona Job Description: Armored Republic is seeking a Controller with experience in accrual accounting and cash management to oversee the financial operations of our company and its affiliated entities. The Controller will play a crucial role in maintaining financial transparency and accuracy while supporting the growth and financial stability of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong financial background, expertise in accrual accounting, and experience in cash management. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee the financial operations for Armored Republic and affiliated portfolio companies and other funds or entities as directed. - Maintain a robust accrual accounting system to ensure accurate financial reporting. - Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including processing payments and reconciling invoices. - Develop and maintain budgets, financial forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making. - Generate financial statements and reports for management, investors, and external stakeholders. - Manage cash flow, monitor expenses, and recommend cost-saving measures and investment opportunities. - Manage tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and industry-specific requirements. - Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate annual audits and tax filings. - Provide financial guidance and support for strategic planning and investment decisions. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role. 3. Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 4. Experience in cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. 5. Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, ERP systems). 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - CPA certification is a plus. - Prior experience in manufacturing or a related industry is advantageous.
